So there's been one of those big road paver things sitting at the end of my street for the past twenty-eight hours. I don't know the technical term for it -- it's that piece of equipment with the big rolling pin on one end of it to flatten things with. I think there's one of them on Bob the Builder.
Like I said, it's been a member of our community for twenty-eight hours. It's guarded by orange pylons. No big deal.
So why hasn't a single kid gone out there and messed with that thing yet? I mean, when I was a kid, my friends and I would've thought it was Christmas to come home and find one of those in the cul-de-sac. Hell, I'm tempted to go out there NOW and sit on it and I'm a grown-up. Or at least I'm old enough to be a grown-up.
What is wrong with kids today?
