I took the kids shopping today for new backpacks. There was only one backpack that caught Zed's eye. He pointed to it as soon as we got there.
I wanted to make sure he had carefully weighed all his options, so I showed him the Transformers, Spiderman, Handy Mandy, Backyardigans, and Spongebob backpacks. I showed him the Jonas Brothers and Wizards of Waverly Place backpacks. I even threw in a few non-character backpacks for good measure.
He wasn't interested. He knew exactly what he wanted, so we bought it.
Hell, he loved it so much he walked around all afternoon carrying it.
Something tells me he may be the only four-year-old boy rocking a Hannah Montana backpack when he heads off to school next week.
