If you've been reading my site for a bit and came here today looking for an April Fools' Day post, leave now. You'll be disappointed if you stay.
More than usual, even.
For the past two years, I have run April Fools' Day jokes on my site. In 2007, I wrote a post stating I had a CD of children's music coming out. For some reason, people believed it.
Because I knew people would be looking for something similar, I started my April Fools' Day joke a few days early in 2008. I wrote a three-part post about an ex-girlfriend who called off our engagement. I felt a little bad about this one as people were feeling sorry for me until they came to the end.
I knew there was no way I could top last year's stunt, so I'm sitting this one out. I thought about faking my own death and even went so far as to create an obituary, but I decided against it when I realized people would be disappointed when they found out I was actually alive.
Be careful out there today. Don't believe anything you read.
