Hair Band Ballads

On Tuesday evening, I did another one of my Nameless Twitter Radio Shows. This week's theme was the highly controversial hair band ballads. Here's the playlist in case you missed it:

  1. The Ballad Of Jayne by L.A. Guns (me)
  2. I Don't Love You Anymore by The London Quireboys (me)
  3. Is This Love by Whitesnake (Connecticut Mom)
  4. Wait by White Lion (Cool Zebras)
  5. Fly To The Angels by Slaughter (Seriously Mama)
  6. Fly High Michelle by Enuff Z'nuff (For A Different Kind Of Girl)
  7. Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison (Muskrat, The Edge Of Insanity, Mommy Confessions, The Wind In Your Vagina, Notes From The Sleep Deprived, Mom-101, and about ten other people who requested it after I had played it)
  8. Never Say Goodbye by Bon Jovi (Musings)
  9. I Remember You by Skid Row (Down-To-Earth Mama)
  10. Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue (Phenom's World)
  11. More Than Words by Extreme (A Smeddling Kiss)
  12. Anybody Listening? by Queensryche (Chicky Chicky Baby)
  13. November Rain by Guns N' Roses (Coffeequeen)
  14. Wind Of Change by The Scorpions (Gaming With Baby)
  15. Headed For A Heartbreak by Winger (DC Urban Dad)
  16. Love Bites by Def Leppard (FlipFlopsChels)
  17. Close Your Eyes Forever by Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne (Spellweavers)
  18. Cryin' by Aerosmith (Sashalyn)
  19. Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone) by Cinderella (Meagan Francis)
  20. Alone Again by Dokken (Pet Cobra)
  21. When I See You Smile by Bad English (Seriously Mama and Gaming With Baby)
  22. Love Song by Tesla (For A Different Kind Of Girl)
  23. What About Love by Heart (Attack Of The Redneck Mommy)
People like to make fun of my love of hair bands, but I'd like to point out that Tuesday night's show and my previous one on hair bands have been two of my most popular shows. Ha.

Next week's theme will be songs with a sense of humor. By the way, I've updated the schedule for the rest of 2008. You can find it in the middle column.

I'd like to thank everyone who came out and listened and offered their opinions on what was a hair band and what was a ballad. Of course, as judge, jury, and executioner, it didn't really matter what others said. I can be quite a prick.

But let me ask you a few questions: do you consider Heart a hair band? How about Cheap Trick? Or Candlebox? I don't consider any of them hair bands.

Just because you have hair and have a band doesn't make you a hair band.
