My daughter's school observed Drug Awareness Week a few weeks back.
One day, the kids all wore their school's colors.
Another day, the kids wore hats.
On the third day, the kids wore mismatched socks.
On the next day, the kids wore their clothes backwards.
I forget what they did on the final day. Bring a bong for Show And Tell, maybe?
I'm sure this program was a major success because I can't think of a better way to make kids aware of drugs than by dressing them up like dealers (hats and gang colors) and junkies (backwards clothes and mismatched socks).
I really should look into homeschooling.
